Saw The Dark Knight a while back. Yeah that movie pretty much lives up to all the hype. I'd have to say it's the best superhero movie I think I've ever seen.
Certainly the darkest. And all the actors were amazing, especially that one that that nobody can stop talking about. There's just something about the Joker that clicks with so many people, myself included (like they said in the Tim Burton movie, "Love that Joker!"). Heath Ledger could easily win an Oscar for one of his last roles.
I'm very curious as to what there gonna do with part 3, 'cause the Joker is such a powerful character, and Ledger was such a good Joker, how could they possibly top that? Part of me wants to see the role recast, just to see the guy again. But how do you recast one of the best performances in recent memory?
So what other dark, gritty superhero movie could possibly get me more excited than TDK?
Wactchmen!
[link] Oh yes! I'm a little worried, because all adaptations of Alan Moore stories so far have landed somewhere between missing the point entirely (V For Vendetta) and utter crap (LXG). But so far, things are looking good. Very good if the trailer is any indication.
Here's hoping!
