I've kinda ignored/avoided DA for a long time now.

My inbox has turned into a monster. Right now I have close to 4,000 unseen deviations and 1500 unread journals. I don't know whether to try go through em or just give up once and for all. I've considered starting a new profile, just to get away from it and have a fresh start.

In the meantime:

I discovered my true Lord and Savior: Scott Pilgrim!

I got a cellphone

and, oh yeah, started going to college

It's April, which means it is once again time for Script Frenzy!

This is my second year attempting it, and hopefully not the year I crash and burn again.

I'm excited about the script, though. It's called Girl Anachronism (named after the Dresden Dolls song, in case you cared), and its one of the good ones. One of the stories I've been carrying around for years but was too afraid to do more but take scattered notes. But now, it is becoming a graphic novel script, and I have much faith in it.

Since the last journal, I've:

-Started dating this girl (who says its time I updated this journal.)

-Read The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen (and came to hate the movie even more because of it; awesome comic!)

-Saw and read Coraline with (which is a great movie, but not a movie you want to see while coming down with a virus, unless you want some weird dreams.)

-Watched as my favorite music videos got deleted off Youtube (The Dresden Dolls' Girl Anachronism? Muse's Stockholm Syndrome? No! Not TVOTR's Staring At The Sun! Not cool, Youtube! Not cool at all!)

And I'm sure there's more, but that's all I can think of right now. Toodles!

Wow, over four months between journal entries? A personal record! Work has been keeping me busy, and I've hardly done any half decent drawings lately. But I will soon, because I just got a new printer/scanner for Christmas! I think I've been needing one of these things for over a year now. And I let 1k page views sneak up on me unprepared. Oh well, I'll do something for it soon (maybe).

Saw The Dark Knight a while back. Yeah that movie pretty much lives up to all the hype. I'd have to say it's the best superhero movie I think I've ever seen.

Certainly the darkest. And all the actors were amazing, especially that one that that nobody can stop talking about. There's just something about the Joker that clicks with so many people, myself included (like they said in the Tim Burton movie, "Love that Joker!"). Heath Ledger could easily win an Oscar for one of his last roles.

I'm very curious as to what there gonna do with part 3, 'cause the Joker is such a powerful character, and Ledger was such a good Joker, how could they possibly top that? Part of me wants to see the role recast, just to see the guy again. But how do you recast one of the best performances in recent memory?

So what other dark, gritty superhero movie could possibly get me more excited than TDK?

Wactchmen! [link] Oh yes! I'm a little worried, because all adaptations of Alan Moore stories so far have landed somewhere between missing the point entirely (V For Vendetta) and utter crap (LXG). But so far, things are looking good. Very good if the trailer is any indication.
